OVERVIEW

This tour will allow you to have the opportunities to explore 40 % of Madagascar main highlights. We will drive from the capital from the central highland along the national road 7 by exploring our unique wildlife, various rocky mountain until the second highest peak of Andringintra , local tribes, rainforest to desert until a blue lagoon decorated with fine white sand and coconuts. DAY BY DAY TOUR

DAY 1

ARRIVAL IN MADAGASCAR

Tongasoa ! when you arrive at the international airport of Ivato (TNR ) , one of our team will be warmly greeted you with a sign under your name . After welcoming, we will drive to our hotel in town and give you a special briefing of our upcoming trip and answer questions you may have if time permits , otherwise tomorrow before while you take breakfast .

DAY 2

ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE

After breakfast , we will begin our journey with a 3-4 hours drive to Antsirabe, and experience the beautiful landscape of the “Haute plateau”. On our way to Antsirabe we will stop by Ambatolampy to see the local craftwork made from aluminum. Upon arrival in Antsirabe we will check into our hotel and take a moment to get settled in. In the afternoon we will drive over to Tritriva’s sacred Lake, and Andraikiba Lake and spend a day learning about the lake and its great history.

DAY 3

ANTSIRABE - RANOMAFANA

One the day 3 , after breakafst we will continue adventure with a 6 hour drive into Ranomafana National Park. Throughout our long drive we will witness the everyday life of the local people that live in this region, the Betsileo tribe. Halfway through our journey we will stop in the town of Ambositra, which is known as the the capital of sculpture Madagascar. In Ambositra we will visit a sculpture workshop and watch how the sculptors work. We will then continue our drive into our final destination for the day Ranomafana National Park. Ranomafana is one of the “wonders” of Madagascar, occupying 400 square kilometers of tropical rainforest . Upon our arrival into Ranomafana we will check into our hotel and get settled in. In the evening, we do a nocturnal visit of the park and have the chance to see reptiles,nocturnal birds and small nocturnal lemurs.

DAY 4

RANOMAFANA NATIONAL PARK

We will begin day 4 with the diurnal visit. We will spend between four to five hours in the Ranomafana Park and visit the Namorona waterfall. We will also have the opportunity to witness the spectacular flora such as orchids and the wildlife unique to this region including the unique Milne Edward Sifaka , Greater bamboo lemur, chameleon, wild birds and other. “Ranomafana” directly translate into “warm water” and it was named after the hot spring unique to this region. Back to our hotel for lunch and explore the small arboretum to meet the largest chameleon in the world known as Parson’s Cameleon. Relax for the rest of our day

DAY 5

RANOMAFANA - NAMOLY VALLEY

Early departure to Ambalavao,our next destination for our few days of trekking at the second highest and climbable mountain here in the island,the Andringitra national park.Eat for breakfast in Ambalavao and briefing with our local guide before driving to then national park.Drive to the Namoly valley and start to trekking from the village of Antanifotsy ( 1,500 m above the sea ) .The trekking will be about 5-6 hours to our first camping,on the way we will see the sacred waterfall,natural pool here we can swim,our first camping is not far from here. Overnight stay in tent

DAY 6

ANDRINGINTRA NATIONAL PARK

Early departure from 4 am,to enjoy the beautiful morning with sunrise before arriving at the peak of Boby also to avoid the heat to be fresh,after the visit of the peak,we return back to our camp and go to visit the Diavolana,an unique and splendide landscape,the best part of the mountain range .After the visit,go down till the small river decorated of an endemic palm Overnight stay in tent

DAY 7

ANDRINGINTRA NATIONAL PARK - RANOHIRA

After breakfast , we will begin our journey to Ranohira. On the way, we will have the chance to admire the beautiful and spectacular scenery of the Ihorombe region called also as Madagascar Colorado the evening. With some stops ,we will get to our destination by the middle of the afternoon , check in and relax

DAY 8

ISALO NATIONAL PARK

Today we will spend about five to six hours to discover the famous Isalo Park. This national park is one of the wonder of the island, because its unique landscape,natural home of the lemur catta and many various fauna and flora including birds,reptiles,palm . At the park we will also see the blue and black natural waterfall swimming pool. From the middle of the afternoon, we take a little nap at the hotel, before going to enjoy the sunset at “Window of Isalo”.

DAY 9

ISALO - TOLIARA - IFATY

Today, we will drive until the famous the south beach destination called Ifaty. On our drive we will pass through Ilakaka, the region that has the most sapphire in Madagascar. Malagasy sapphire is the highest quality sapphire found in the world. Many Malagasy people from different regions come here to work, that make us to remember the “Farwest curiosity” . On our drive we will also see the Mahafaly Tomb, and the semi-desert landscape decorated with the baobab and palm trees. We’ll be in Toliara from the middle of the afternoon, directly to our hotel in Ifaty. Check in to our beachfront hotel and relax

DAY 10

IFATY

On day 10 we will enjoy a day of free time to indulge in as many activities as you like or to simply spend a relaxing day by the beach. Our hotel offers different activities such as visiting the baobab forest, various nautical activity and much more.

DAY 12

IFATY - TOLIARA - ANTANANARIVO

After breakfast, we will drive to the Regional Airport of Toliara to fly back to the capital,Once we arrived,one of our team will be there to welcome you and drive you to your hotel in the city. Check in and enjoy the rest of your day.

DAY 13

FLY OUT OF MADAGASCAR

After breakfast, we will explore the best historical site of the capital , from the King and Queen’s Palace to the former largest open market of Africa , known as Zoma Market. By your request , we will end our visit to explore the best souvenir shop of the city. Enjoy your free hour at your hotel before your depature . Our driver will pick you up 3.30 hours before your international flight transfer.
